Celebrating 2008 and Looking Towards 2009

Celebrating 2008 Accomplishments:
  • Began the process of making Canada my permanent home
  • Was able to buy in cash (because of your generous love and support) a beautiful "new" car
  • Have watched the Lord provide enough financially to pay all my bills, when it should've been humanly impossible
  • Ran and completed my first Marathon (a feat I never dreamed this short little girl could do)
  • ACCI started moving into the area of coming around ministries and businesses initiated and fully run by Nationals (this is very exciting to see)!!!
  • Watching my family grow up
  • Being able to walk with so many people who model such lives of generosity and Christ-likeness
Looking Forward to 2009:
I have felt the Lord preparing me for numerous things in 2009, but one thing I do feel free to share is that I feel He has asked me to "Live a lifestyle of forgiveness." I thought I understood forgiveness, but realize there are depths and places of surrendering that He will be taking me through that I've yet to experience. And my desire to not say "NO" to the Lord when He asks me to forgive in situations where it feels almost impossible to do so. This year will be a place of extreme character development. I want to be faithful more than anything else.

On February 25, I will leave to do ministry in Italy for 2 weeks. I'm really looking forward to this time to come alongside of the churches and individuals in Italy who we've been working with for years now.

aaaaaah my beautiful sister
thank you for sharing your heart -
perhaps this picture of you sitting beside stilled waters is a signpost for this season - perhaps it is to be a deep "be still and know" season - in any case, we Canadians are much the warmer for having you in our midst - winter does not seem quite so cold when it is penetrated by your lovely smile, and we Canadians have been known to end up in a ditch the odd time too - gives our community a chance to bless us by getting us back on the right road ~ we surely do need one another. Spring is coming!

A friend once wrote on a slip of paper many years ago "Forgiveness is the sweet fragrance of Christ" and slipped it in my Bible. There it remains as a reminder. Many Blessings on you in 2009 as you walk in His Grace, His mercy and His love.
