Singing in Zambia
I took this video while we were visiting villages in Zambia. This is one of my favourite parts of the African culture - their song. Their songs are the stories of their life. They tell of the joys, the sorrows, the grief, and the surprises. They pass on their songs through the generations...
The woman leading the song in the red shirt is the head of the tribe (her husband was but he passed away). So she carries the full responsibility for the family. She led us in the song.
Her story is one full of sorrow. She shared with us underneath a tree outside the village in private her story...all we could do was to pray for her.
